We want Christ Church to be a place where you experience the love and presence of Jesus through the care and empathy of this community. The Care Ministries team (led by staff members Jenny Behrens, Suzanne Moore and Mary Longley) works with lay leaders to collect and distribute prayer requests, coordinate meals for parishioners who have had a baby or surgery, offer encouragement, prayer and resources to those who are hurting or grieving, provide hospital visitation when desired, equip Stephen Ministers and prayerfully match them with Care Receivers, coordinate funerals and provide home communion visits. Our parish nurses monitor blood pressure, offer rides to doctor’s appointments, provide consultation and assistance for health related issues, and organize blood drives, flu shot clinics and our Emergency Response Team on Sunday mornings. Our Care Ministry is certainly not limited to these offerings, so if you have a need or a ministry idea, please let us know. |
