"First Saturdays" is not only an opportunity for us as a Church to serve together on a monthly basis, but it is perhaps the most ideal way to make new connections and friendships; relationships formed around people coming together to live beyond themselves. The selection of the sites each month is intended to involve multiple levels of generations and skills. We intend to serve the elderly, our neighbors, urban youth...even Starbucks customers!
The hope is that, through it all, we will be able to experience the joy of life with God. Serving isn't something heavy laden. It is simply fun. Our hope for this community is to experience the "fun" on a Saturday morning by getting outside of our own lives for a few hours. We will surely meet God in the people and the places we are serving in the most unexpected and surprising ways.
